St. Clements University Campus Centre – Niue

This body was set up to offer a range of tertiary education programs to the residents of Niue and New Zealand.

Niue like many similar small island countries suffers from brain drain. In fact, over 20,000 former islanders have migrated to New Zealand. If the program could be a blended one—face to face and electronic—then Niue not only could better hold onto its current native population; but also offered as a total distance education format reach and re-engage the thousands of natives residing elsewhere. Electronically, it also could service populations in nearby islands facing the same problems. Access via distance education is thus perceived as levelling the playing field for developing countries.

St. Clements University Campus Centre – Niue has been established to provide this hybrid learning.

It is licensed by the Niue National Government as a higher education school and offers the following degree programs:

Bachelor of Business in Administration Bachelor of Business in Travel Tourism Bachelor of Business in Hospitality Bachelor of Business in Information Technology Bachelor of Science in Computing Bachelor of Accounting Master of Arts in TESOL

The Bachelor degrees are divided into three (3) or four (4) stages to enable Niue residents to gain Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma qualifications as well as degrees.

The pre-degree qualifications (Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma) are issued by United Kingdom professional qualifications awarding bodies.

The Institute of Financial Accountants accredits it to teach its programs.

The Association of Business Executives accredits it to teach its programs.

The Association of Computer Professionals accredits it to teach its programs.

People from outside of Niue can enrol through the Campus Learning Centre, to study these programs.
