I am the original author of the website content, and this article both. If I am the original author of both, how can it be a copyright violation? Please assist.

Hi RRethard. While you may be the author (which the community cannot verify), you probably aren't the copyright holder; the school most likely is, for the text and the photograph. It can be reworked, though, and made into a more encyclopedia-worthy article with some editing and formatting.
