St. Vital is a neighborbood in suburban Winnipeg, Manitoba. It was also once the City of St. Vital before merging with the City of Winnipeg in 1972. It lies to the east of the Red River in the south east part of the city. The population as of the 2001 census is 59,840, up from 32,500 in 1971. (Source: Statistics Canada).

St. Vital is the home to St. Vital Centre, a local mall which contains many basic amenities such as a large food court, Chapters, The Bay, Sears, Walmart, London Drugs, and Silver City movie theaters.

St. Vital is stitched together by a number of major road arteries such as St. Anne's road, Dakota street, and St. Mary's avenue, which becomes main street further north.

St. Vital is home in Winnipeg to a large portion of the Muslim population, and is jokingly refferred to by some members of this community as "Saudi Vital".

St. Vital is also home to an upstart group of young, discontented suburban teenagers who refer to themselves as "St. Vital Youth Action", and spend many summer nights irritating the community by putting up political posters in the area.
