[edit] History

The school opened in May 1954 with only a few students in each class. The staff was mainly "nun-hood" based with many of the staff being nuns. Up until the first half of the 1990s the school itself only contained four classrooms. These being:

Class 1: Reception and Year 1 Class 2: Year 1 and Year 2 Class 3: Year 3 and Year 4 Class 4: Year 5 and Year 6

In 1995, a new classroom, was built to extend onto the Class 4, Class 5. The infants remained the same, although the Year 2 group was spilt into class 2 and 3, year four and five were split, year four in 4, half of year 5 in 4, the other y5's and y6 in Class 5,

In 2000, a new mobile classroom was opened and all the y2's would congregate there. Reception would have their own class (the old Class 1 being Class R,) Class 2 being Class 1 etc. The juniors were unaffected by this.
