The parish was named for St. Rose of Lima the first saint of the Americas. The parent parishes were Saint Philomena and St. Francis de Sales. The congregation was mostly German. Records for this parish are located at this parish. The parish steeple has been a landmark on the Ohio River for the past 140 years. The church has been in the many Ohio River floods.
The Parish is active today.
