St. Pius X High School (Albuquerque)

St. Pius X High School is a Catholic college preparatory school established in 1956. It was administered by the Basilian Fathers of the Archdiocese of Santa Fe from 1965 to June 2000. In July 2000, Dr. Mary McLeod became the first lay principal in the school's history. Dr. McLeod was succeeded in July 2004 by Mrs. Barbara Rothweiler. St. Pius is a co-educational institution for students grades 9 through 12. The school is located on Albuquerque's west on the campus that was formerly the location of the University of Albuquerque. St. Pius is Albuquerque's only Catholic high school.
