Saint Peter's Catholic School, is located on Chambersburg Rd, Huber Heights, Ohio. Also on campus is Saint Peter's Catholic School. St. Peter School was founded in 1962 by the Ursuline Sisters of Brown County. A Catholic Elementary school serving the communities of Huber Heights, Riverside, Fairborn, Tipp City, New Carlisle and Wright Patterson Air Force Base. Educating children from 3 years old through Eighth Grade.

At St. Peter School, we are a community of believers firmly bound by the teachings of the Catholic Church. Through an active commitment of following these teachings, we believe our faith challenges in the new millennium.

We believe in excellence in education, provided by a well qualified faculty and staff; with a curriculum that serves the spiritual, moral, physical and intellectual needs of all students.

Student Enrollment and Performance St. Peter School is open to Catholic and non-Catholic families. During the 2001-2002 school year, our enrollment consisted of 84 percent Catholic students and 16 percent non-Catholic students. We welcome families of all faith to attend our National School of Excellence.

Our school has standardized testing for grades 2, 4, 6 and 8. We also have ACRE (Religion) testing for grades 5 and 8. Writing samples are conducted in grades 3 and 7; and our Brigance Screening Test is administered to Kindergarten students before admission.

The below information is based on the Iowa Basic Scores as the National percentage. Students consistently score approximately one and one half grade levels higher than the national norms on the Iowa Basics.

The percentage of 8th grade graduates attending Catholic High School: 57%.

Our Faculty The St. Peter School faculty consists of 34 full-time, one librarian, nine auxiliary personnel and three part-time. The Student-to-Teacher ratio on average is 21 students per teacher. The average number of students per homeroom is approximately 25.

Overnight Field trip to Woodland Altars in Peebles, Ohio Science Fair Spelling Bee Student's Service Program General Information St. Peter school is a tuition-based education. The need for financial aid is evaluated by the Private School Aid Services (PSAS). Applications are submitted to PSAS with recommendations going to the Pastor of St. Peter. The Parish resources provides PSAS scholarship money.

School hours: school building doors open at 8:35 a.m. with the tardy bell ringing at 8:45 a.m. School is dismissed at 3:15 p.m. Morning Kindergarten is from 8:45 a.m. - 11:15 a.m.; afternoon Kindergarten is from 12:45 - 3:15 p.m.

Students who live in the city of Huber Heights receive busing from Huber Heights City School Transportation. Students who live the the city of Riverside are bused from Mad River School Transportation.

The Huber Heights City Schools' Food Service provides hot lunches for the students. Lunch tickets may be purchased.
