St. Martin's Episcopal Church (Houston, Texas)

St. Martin's is an Episcopal church in the Episcopal Diocese of Texas located on Sage and Woodway in Houston, Texas. It is where former president George H.W. Bush and former first lady Barbara Bush are members. The church was founded on September 1, 1952[1]. The current old church was constructed in 1959 and the new church was completed on Easter Sunday 2004.

[edit] Cindy Sheehan Protest

On February 20, 2006, Cindy Sheehan and her supporters protested the Iraq war on the sidewalk in front of the new church[2]. It lasted about 3 hours in the late afternoon/evening.
