St. Louis Braves
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The St. Louis Braves were a minor league hockey club located in St. Louis, Missouri, and were the Central Hockey League's affiliate for the Chicago Blackhawks between 1963 and 1967. The team played its home games at the St. Louis Arena in the city's Central West End, off of Highway 40 across from Forest Park. They were the last minor-league hockey club to call "The Gateway to the West" home, prior to the inception of the National Hockey League's version of the St. Louis Blues following the 1966-67 NHL season.
