The St. Lazare Football Organization joined the QBFL in 2003. |
The St. Lazare football organization was founded by a man with a dream, a vision-to bring football to the remote parts of Quebec, to touch the children living a mile away from their next neighbour with the gift of football, that, was less than a decade ago, yet so many things have changed. The "Remote" parts of Quebec are now being populated like anthills, the once hopeless looking St. Lazare Football organization has become a complete park. Host to Atom (6-9 year olds), Mosquito (10-11 year olds), PeeWee (12-13 year olds), Bantam (14-15 year olds) and Midget (16-17 year olds) the Stallions contend for Provincial titles annually. This Park has gained a reputation for competitiveness, money smarts (Market their own products), good sportsmanship and cleanliness of gameplay and park.

[edit] The City of St. Lazare
St Lazare itself is a very young town, not in regards to the town itself but rather the people that inhabit it. Many middle to upper class families reside here, most of which are just starting out with children. Notable for its abundance of wildlife and heavily forested areas which surround continuously growing residential developments, St Lazare has, in just a few years, grown to a thriving city with a population of around 20, 000 people. It is located just West of the island of Montreal, about 30 minutes from the border of Ontario.
[edit] Accomplishments
The St Lazare club has astonished its fans and leagues everywhere. Its most recent accomplishments include the 2005 inaugural Midget AAA level team reaching the Jack Simpson Finals after going 5-5 in the regular season. Just one year earlier in the inaugural year of the Bantam AAA level (which included a roster that would eventually consitute a greater part of the Midget AAA team) the Stallions won the Earl de la Perralle division trophy and went on to compete for the Presidents cup trophy. Their regular season record was 9-1 and would eventually go 1-2 in the playoffs brining their historic record up to 10-3, with their only loss of the regular season coming in their first game, where they played a Division 1 team and lost by a score of 61-7.
Other accomplishments include the 2004 PeeWee and Mosquito teams both of whom would win their leagues regular season championship and the PeeWees would go on to win in the finals of the NSFL.
[edit] Midget Team
The Midget AAA Stallions team is the highest level of competition a Stallions player can reach. The Midget level was admitted to St. Lazare after only 1 year of a very successful inaugural Bantam level which saw that Bantam team go 10-3 in total, even reaching the Presidents cup, where they lost for the last time to the Laval Cowboys 38-32. The first year midget team, under head coach Ray Gaston would go on to an average season, finishing 5-5 in the regular season. The Stallions however, really came together and made a dazzling run in the playoffs, going on to the Jack Simpson cup, held at Percival Molson Memorial Stadium at McGill University, home to the Montreal Alouettes. Here, they would be defeated by the Joliette Pirates, 35-17. The current 2006 Midget team is headlined by a majority of the roster that brought the inaugural Bantam Stallions all the way to the Presidents Cup finals in 2004. They finished the regular season 8-2, tied for first with 3 other teams but due to several technicalities, finished a respectable third behind the Laurentian Wildcats and the St. Hubert Rebels. The Stallions went on to win the Jack Simpson Cup on November 10th, 2006 in only their second year of competition, defeating the Greenfield Park Packers 28-23.
