St. Joseph's Senior Secondary School, Kanpur

St.Joseph's Senior Secondary School is a school in Kanpur situated off the highway between Kanpur and Lucknow.

School first started in 1965, with just the primary section and a rudimentary convent, for the nuns. Over the years, the school expanded and grew, such that the first set of students who enrolled in the primary sections, continuously had the next class to go to, all the way till 12th standard. That, with three sections, A, B and C.

Sometime in the early eighties, the school undertook a massive expansion, which included construction of two new wings with 20 odd, additional classrooms. This work got completed before 1984.

The school has had very good physics, chemistry and biology labs.The sports and games department was continuously strong with the school always competing in various inter-school events. The school also always had dedicated sports teacher/coaches.

Catering largely to a local community comprising of Lal Bangla, JK Colony, Jajmau, Defence colony, HAL, and Air-force families.

The School is situated in Defence Colony, Jajmau, Kanpur.
