St. Johns School, Waterloo

St. Johns International School is an international school in Waterloo, Belgium which offers the IB, AP and SAT programmes. It was founded in 1964 by a group of nuns known as the Faithful Companions of Jesus (FCJ). It offers education from Pre Kindergarten to 12th grade, with an optional 13th grade.

St. John’s exists to provide an international education in English that is based on Christian values, encourages academic excellence, and stimulates social development within a culturally diverse environment.

St. John's International School provides a quality education, which is inspired by Christian values, while respecting other religious traditions. Within a caring environment, students are cherished as individuals, encouraged to reach full potential, prepared to think globally with a commitment to justice, and challenged to act responsibly in a constantly changing society.

The current school campus has been constantly changing, with major construction projects recently finished. Its main entrance is along Dreve Richelle, but the bus bay entrance is along Champ du Roussart. Throughout the years, new buildings have been added in the campus. The Middle School Building, with its wave-like roof, was opened in 1995. The current cafeteria, High School science laboratories, and the new gymnasium was finished in 2004, with the Drama and Performance Buildings the following two years.
