St. Johns Lutheran School

[[Image:DSC_0053_A.jpg St. John's Lutheran is a school and church located in Elgin, Illinois. St John's began in 1866 and has relocated twice on the same street. St. John's is a church part of the Missouri Synod and a few years later a detached one room classroom was built behind the church offices. The school was taught by only one teacher, that was also the pastor of the church. Later on a detached four room school building was built and an underground tunnel was built to connect the elementary school the junior high. The current school principal is Michael Rottmann, who began in 2004. There are currently 13 faculty members.
