St. John's Cathedral, Knoxville

St. John's Cathedral is the Episcopal Cathedral of the Diocese of East Tennessee.

The Very Reverend John C. Ross is Dean of the cathedral. Former deans include James L. Sanders and Dan Matthews. Dan Matthews is now rector of Trinity Church in New York City. John C. Ross was among four candidates for the Bishop of Arkansas, which was decided in favor of someone else in November, 2006. He is well known in Knoxville, and serves on several boards and foundations, including Leadership Knoxville, the Rogers Foundation, and the Episcopal School of Knoxville, where his wife, Lois, works.
