St. Georges Road, Melbourne

St. Georges Road is a main road in Melbourne. It passes through the suburbs of Fitzroy North, Northcote, Thornbury and Preston. The southern end commences at Watkins Street in Fitzroy North, as a continuation of Brunswick Street, and the northern end terminates at Murray Road in Preston, where it joins Spring Street[1]. It is part of the 112 tram route, and becomes a divided road north of Merri Creek. The local council, the City of Yarra, has recently planted small trees between Merri Bridge and Holden Street. One school, Northcote High School, is situated on St. Georges Road, although a primary school, Merri Creek Primary School, is situated nearby.
