[edit] History
The more popular sport in barefield over Gaelic Football. We have two main Hurling fields...gurteen and roslevan. In Gurteen there are 3 Full size hurling and football pitches. There is also great changing and showering facilities there. We are a dminiant club at both under age and senior, we have a good minor club structure in place and we are very professional towards training our teams. There is a great amount of talented players about to emerge onto the senior panel.....a senior championship should be in our near sights.....
[edit] Notable Players
Some of Clare GAA's greatest players have played for St Joseph's, many of which played with the iconic 1995 All Ireland winning team. These include James O'Connor, Sean McMahon and Ollie Baker. All have won two All-Ireland Senior Championship medals, and James O'Connor has won GAA All Star Player Of The Year Award for 1997.
