Stębark

Stębark (German: ) is a village in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, Poland. The village is part of Gmina Grunwald in Powiat Ostródzki.

Stębark is primarily known for two historic battles which took place nearby. On 15 July 1410 a united army of the Kingdom of Poland and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania defeated the Teutonic Knights at the Battle of Grunwald (First Battle of Tannenberg) in 1410. In 1914 during World War I a German army under the command of Field Marshal Paul von Hindenburg won an important victory over the Russian Empire in the Second Battle of Tannenberg.

Tannenbergstellung refers to the World War II Eastern Front campaign held in Estonia through most of 1944.
