Stéphanie Vallée

Stephanie Vallee, is a Quebec politician, lawyer and negotiator. She is the newly-elected MNA for the provincial riding of Gatineau as a member of the Quebec Liberal Party.

Vallee was a lawyer in Maniwaki for nearly 10 years and was a member of the Barreau du Quebec since 1995 as well as a Member of the Conseil du Barreau of the former city of Hull. In the 2007 elections, she became the new candidate for Gatineau after replacing outgoing incumbent MNA Rejean Lafreniere who did not seek a re-election.

She easily defeated five other candidates including PQ's Therese Yiel-Dery, ADQ's Martin Otis, Green Party's (and former federal candidate) Gail Walker, Quebec Solidaire's Carmen Boucher and Marxist Leninist Candidate Lisa Leblanc.

Also heavily involved in the cultural domain, she is also a member of the Administration of Gatineau's Maison de la Culture.

Vallée has a tight knit circle of friends and acquaintances, including Ottawa-based Calgary lawyer, negotiator and actor, Bill MacKay.
