Stéphane Bertrand

Stéphane Bertrand (born 1967) is a bassist and composer. He is French born in Cannes in 1967.

Bertrand collaborated with Amina Fakhet, Soriba Kouyaté, Jean Marc Jafet, Gilles Choir, Frédéric l'Epée, the Curl group and many other artists.

His play is characterized by a strong musicality together with an impressive bass sound. His inspired improvisations are tainted with multiple origins ranging from classical music to rock including jazz and ethnic musics.

His enigmatic titled compositions are often nostalgic and mysterious reflecting a complex personality with an exacerbated sensitivity. Numerous publications refer to him and specialized writers such as Noël Balen consider him as a great talented musician.
