[edit] THE BEGINNING
Sri Cempaka is the first school in Asia to achieve the One-to-One notebook program. This has been so far the biggest breakthrough for the school. Since its launch from 1983, this school has only grown bigger and bigger with each passing day.
The uniform (For the Primary Level) consists of a yellow pinafore for the girls, and a white shirt and khaki shorts set for the boys.
The uniform (For the Secondary Level) [formal] consists of a white blouse, dual-tone charcoal grey skirt, tie and blazer for the girls and a long-sleeved shirt, dual-tone charcoal grey pants, tie and blazer for the boys. This is formal wear for assemblies. For days other than assemblies [informal] they do not need to wear the tie and blazer, and for the boys, they get to wear their short-sleeved shirt.
[edit] THE STUDENTS
Last year, two students of Sri Cempaka qualified for the Gold Awards Scheme. They are Joanna Sangeetha Vijaykumar and her brother, Anthony Vijaykumar. Joanna Sangeetha is an active athlete at her school, as well as a talented musician. Her brother, on the other hand, plays the violin and holds an interest in acting and singing.
During many festive seasons, a special assembly is held and students get to dress up in their traditional costumes [traditional celebrations] or their own clothes [Talentime]. This school provides many fun events for their students.
[[The Motto]]
The motto of Cempaka is Mind, Body and Soul.
Mind
The mind describes the academic activities.
Body
The body describes the outdoor activities.
Soul
The soul describes how often a student performs on stage.
This school is located in Malaysia.
It is run by Datin Freida, chairman of Cempaka.
Cempaka has two campuses. Cempaka had been founded since 1983 in Damansara Heights, where they have its first school, Sri Cempaka Damansara. It was a national school. Later on, in 2001, Datin Freida decided to have another school, this time in Cheras. It consisted of three schools, Sri Cempaka Cheras, Cempaka International School and Cempaka College. In the near future, Cempaka will have its third campus, Cempaka Ladies' College, for girls who either want to go to college or for girls who graduated from college.
