Squeezing
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In quantum optics, squeezing means that a quadrature of a light field (analogous to position and momentum of a quantum harmonic oscillator) fluctuates less than the vacuum. In order to respect the Heisenberg uncertainty principle, the conjugate quadrature must have excess noise.
