Spur Steak Ranches is a steakhouse franchise restaurant chain originating from South Africa. Its menu mainly features beef burgers, steaks and ribs, but also includes salads, chicken, seafood and vegetarian options. The restaurants also sell a range of sauces and other condiments under its own brand.

Despite its South African origin, Spur uses Native American themes extensively, both in its marketing and decor.

The restaurant brands itself as "the official restaurant of the South African family"; as such, every Spur restaurant include a children's play area.

The company was founded by Allen Ambor (who is still the company's executive chairman) in 1967, when he opened the Golden Spur in Newlands, Cape Town.

Since then, Spur has grown into an international restaurant chain with more than 200 South African and 24 international outlets, including restaurants in Australia, Botswana, Ireland, Kenya, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Swaziland, Tanzania, the United Kingdom, China and Zimbabwe.

In the 2005 financial year, the company had a turnover of ZAR 200.6 million.

The company also owns the Panarotti’s pizza and pasta restaurant chain. This chain was started in 1989 and has 48 South African and 8 international outlets. In addition, the Spur Group purchased a 60% shareholding in John Dory’s Fish and Grill in 2004. John Dory's is a KwaZulu-Natal Province-based franchise with 7 outlets.
