Sprint damper

A Sprint damper (or Steering damper) is fitted to a motorcycle to control headstock movement during hard acceleration.

When under hard acceleration a motorcycle will sometimes lift it's front wheel, this takes the weight off the front wheel and makes the front end light, which can result in the front wheel not being aligned when the front wheel returns back to the ground, this can then cause a "tank-slapper"
