Charles A. Sprague High School is a secondary school located in the Sunnyslope neighborhood of Salem, Oregon, United States. The school is named after Charles A. Sprague, who served as Oregon's governor from 1939 to 1943.
Sprague High School is one of six public high schools in the Salem-Keizer School District. The school's student body is drawn from a suburban-residential area representing a cross section of the Salem community.
Sprague High School has been educating Salem students for over thirty years and is accredited by the Northwest Association of Colleges, Universities and High Schools. It is a four-year high school. It has over 80 teachers. The school year includes two eighteen-week semesters. Courses are generally year-long, with the exception of specific elective areas that offer one-semester courses.
Sprague has been known throughout the years for its outstanding music program. In 2000, it was named winner of the Grammy Signature School "Gold" award, placing it among some of the finest high school music programs in the country. In March of 2006, the choir participated in the ACDA national choral conference, one of the most prestigious of its kind.[citation needed]
