Talk:Sports journalism
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Most of the people listed are just sports columnists, rather than sports reporters/beat writers. I'm not going to do anything about it, I'm just throwin' it out there. PeteJayhawk 22:20, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] What is sports journalism about?
Doesn't this Wikipedia entry deserve to be more than just one short paragraph and a list of notable sports journalists? I think the sports journalism Redirect should be turned into an article about the practice of sports journalism, and turn this one into Sportswriers, since that is what this is. Let this article redirect to Sports Journalism. Gladmax 02:54, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Recent changes
To Kevin Brietenstein: I restructured this page, created the list of sports writers page, and restructured the redirects of sportswriting and sports writing to help this page fit better into the mix of journalism articles. Please don't revert to the previous version without discussing it here first. Gladmax 23:32, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
- If you were rewriting the page, then I mearly averted a cut and paste page move. You were redirecting the page to a page that was a redirect to the previous page, so I moved it to the target page, and put back the text. Nothing to prevent a rewriting, just preserving the edit history. Kevin_b_er 23:52, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] UK/US Bias?
There has been great movement in recent years around the world with sports journalism. In particular the sub-continent and Australia. Sportal web-service also deserves a mention. The fact they had the rights to club-sites and gave fans reports on games within minutes after a game has finished. In fact the internet may deserve a section here??
