[edit] TV Y7
Yesterday I noticed a TV Y7 bug in the top left corner. This wasn't a mistake, because it's still there. So SpongeBob is now Y7.-TheVofSteel
- And that's why noting rating information in the article is usually considered to be not so helpful. It can change per episode, network, rerun and more importantly per country. As such it's impossible to note correctly in the article and to do so might even be considered "unencyclopedic". A description as "An animated show targeted at young children (+/- 7 and older), with litlle to none bad language. Although originally targeted at a young audience it has also garnered a large group of adulescent and adult enthousiastic followers of the show." is usually a better idea. Why it was rerated TV-Y7? Shkarter1985 02:14, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
I don't know it shouldn't be if so many little kids are watching the show and there is no reason since all the humor is childish.Themasterofwiki 15:22, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
The humor is NOT childish in the least bit, and some of it even has deep phsycological innuendos related to current events etc. Unsigned
It could have just been the episode itself. I believe the episode Sailor_Mouth was rated Y7. Some episodes feature some violence in them, reminiscent of Tom and Jerry which could warrant a Y7. Nodnarb232001 03:42, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
If the show is aimed at preschoolers I don't think it should have a TV Y7 rating.Themasterofwiki 17:37, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Sleepy Time episode
I asked a question in the Sleepy Time discussion page. Does anybody know what piece it is ?--Maison mere des rumeurs 03:31, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Tiny Tim?
Is it appropriate to have Tiny Tim listed as a "guest star" just because one of his songs was used in an episode (after his own death, I might add)? -Grammaticus Repairo 04:42, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
I don't belive it is, along with having Pantera as one either. It should be with the music featured on the show, not the guest stars. Although I might add that its aparently impossible to have someone guest star on a cartoon, so maybe they're refering to an outsider making music(voicing) for the show. I don't know, but Tiny Tim had died way before that, so it shouldn't be there. Unforgotten 23:43, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Too much merchandising
The section on merchandising mentions dozens of products and tie-ins. I think 3-5 at best should be enough. Who's gonna pick? Repetition 03:11, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Music of SpongeBob SquarePants
Hey everyone, I created a page called Music of SpongeBob SquarePants. I suggest that the section entitled "Music" on this page be linked to that page, as it currently has more info and allows for more room to add more without cluttering up the main SpongeBob article. It's similar to the Music of Ren and Stimpy page. Sb2007 20:40, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Cultural References
I think this is getting pretty ridiculous. It's like making a "Cultural References" section in the Star Wars article: Pretty much everybody in the freaking universe has done a parody by now. I think either this big novelty collection of all 9,000 of the shows that have hinted at or spoofed the show should be scrapped, or we make a "Cultural References to SpongeBob Squarepants" article. I support the former suggestion, becuase if we make a new references article, all the article would be is way too many examples without a explanation or introduction. Sorry to get all worked up. I'll be quiet now. 71.199.25.62 23:31, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Merge
The SpongeBob SquarePants controversy article is going no where, and the content of it is somewhat limited, though most of the controversy has been covered. I propose that it be merged into this article for this reason. --DarkAdonis255 14:33, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

- I agree, what's the point of making such a small page with text that takes less than five minutes to read? TheBlazikenMaster 18:15, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
- I agree too. It was orignally moved there because it's length was very long. -AMK152(Talk • Contributions • Send message) 19:08, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Waterhead
How can one possibly be absorbed or attracted to a sponge if one does not have a patological hydrocephalus Axezz 08:46, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
- I don't know what this has to do with the article but it's a cartoon. And cartoons don't have to be one hundred procent realistic. TheBlazikenMaster 08:49, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Why can't the fact about real-life sequences be part of the trivia?
The last remove was just "rmv". Is that specific? No. I need to know why it's unnecessery. This is not common on most cartoons. Because most cartoons have no real-life sequences whatsoever. In some episodes there is some, but that's rarily in most cartoons, and it's called another demension.
So I wanna ask why can't the real-life sequences thing be part of the trivia? Knowing that could interest some people that know nothing of SpongeBob. After all WikiPedia is to seek knowledge, and make it clear to people that don't know what the thing is. TheBlazikenMaster 20:32, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry about bumping this, but I wanna know. TheBlazikenMaster 19:44, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
- C'mon, I really want an answer. TheBlazikenMaster 09:49, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
- I still don't get it. Sorry about bumping this. I really want to know. I mean almost every episode has it. By the time it was removed, there was NO REASON, neither has there been any reason of previous removals of this trivia. TheBlazikenMaster 11:48, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
