Sports Journalism in India acquired a dynamic iridescence and glamour since the dawn of Independence. More than a profession, it became a movement to spread the spirit of sport, its fragrance and its contribution to identifying the National ethos. To canalise this dynamics into a meaningful exercise and weld the community into a homogenous entity, the Sports Journalists Association of Bihar (SJAB) was formed 15 years ago. The SJAB was founded in 1991 and became an affiliated unit of the Sports Journalists Federation of India in 1993. The SJAB is a social organisation looking into the working needs of Sports Scribes in Bihar. In order to promote the spirit of camaraderie among sports journalists we organise different sports events and seminars on the topic relating to Bihar sports.
