SponsorNet New Media

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

SponsorNet New Media was billed as the "web's first advertising network" when it was created in the summer of 1995. It was founded by Luke Nosek, Max Levchin, and Scott Banister. Ramu Yalamanchi later joined as a fourth partner.

SponsorNet sold and served ad banners on third party web sites, as was later popularized most successfully by DoubleClick.

The company was dissolved in 1996.
