[edit] news report

Hey, that "news report" link doesn't mention anything about him getting shot. Everyking 07:05, 11 July 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Gang affiliation

Who the hell put that Spider Loc is a "Neighborhood Crip"? Spider is from one of the ECC sets, and has said so himself in interviews. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 137.146.149.212 (talkcontribs).

[edit] Word about this page got back to Spider Loc...

...and he denies that he was ever involved in a drive-by. He says it's all BS...for those who aren't familiar with Spider Loc, he posts on his message board quite regularly, and he can answer questions you ask. I personally asked him what Crip gang he was from, and he confirmed he's a 97 ECC, not "West Coast Crip" or "Neighborhood Crip" or whatever else people have put. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 137.146.149.212 (talkcontribs).

-Thanks for sharing this, can u sign your posts and link to spider locs replies on his forum? Tutmosis 19:45, 6 February 2006 (UTC)

Afraid not. His site doesn't let you post links unless you're registered. If you are registered, though, do a search of Spider's own posts...you can find several where he reacts to misinformation that's been posted here, including the rumor that he was arrested last year for involvement in a drive-by, and he also mentions repeatedly that he's from 97 East Coast Crip, not "West Coast Crip" or Grape Street(have you seen the cover of his mixtape? Him and all the other "G-Unit Crips" are holding up signs claiming their sets, and Spider's says "97 ECC"). Here are a few quotes from him (they're kinda hard to read since he types in all caps):
"HA HA HA FUNNY AS FUCC BUT I NEVA DID A DRIVE BY IN MY LIFE...NO I HAVE NEVA BEEN ON TRIAL FA MURDER"
"IM FROM NINETY SEVENTH STREET NAYBAHOOD EAST SIDE EAST COAST CRIP" —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 137.146.149.212 (talkcontribs).

-ask him how he enjoyed private school then.... fuckin' fake-ass wanksta —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.9.126.26 (talkcontribs).

Spider Loc says in his song he went to private school and still turned out a G. For those who don't know alot of parents send their kids to private school sin south central L.A. with that being said alot of ghetto kids attend private schools which makes it just as bad as public schools —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.213.16.117 (talk • contribs).

He talks about that, too. While I don't take sides in rappers' beefs, I do think it's fair to keep in mind that he did used to be a gangbanger, whereas Game pretty much adopted his older brother's identity as his own, "CB4"-style. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 137.146.149.212 (talkcontribs).
Personally, I don't think The Game adopted his brothers identity, because his brother was a Compton Crip, whereas the games was a Piru Blood. Although the game went to a heavily Crip school, he managed to turn out a Blood, even after his brother was killed. (unsigned post by 154.20.151.228 )
You're talking about Game's other brother, Jamal (who was from Santana Blocc, a set which Game also reportedly claimed at one point). Game's half-brother Big Fase 100 (Hunnid) is the one whose identity Game stole; he's one of Cedar Block's OGs. He did an interview where he specifically claimed that he allowed Game to adopt his image and his background for his rap career. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 137.146.149.143 (talk • contribs).
Wasnt Games brother who was crip A nutty block Crip and his name was Jevon? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.79.147.26 (talkcontribs).

[edit] His birthdate

Anyone know where the listed birth date of February 14th, 1968 came from? I've always heard he's a lot younger than that. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 137.146.149.212 (talkcontribs).

[edit] Picture

You guys think we should get a better picture? Tutmosis 00:11, 19 February 2006 (UTC)

checked the official site http://www.spiderloc.com/images/photo15.jpg is the only one that i found okay for encyclopedia use Tutmosis 00:28, 19 February 2006 (UTC)
I think that picture is okay for use, though the currently used wikipedia picture, says more about the man himself. ShotokanTuning 07:35, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Copyright

You must have thought this would be your stomping ground for putting in copyrighted information as well as opinion. No. This is an encylopedia. Not a fansite or a dedication to Spider Loc or G-Unit. He is still working on finalizing a deal with G-Unit and not officially a member of Interscope Records. Interscope retains the rights to all G-Unit Records artists. Thanks. LILVOKA.

This is too vague, it isn't good removing large parts and/or rewriting the whole thing, without proper care. If you have issues with it, please state what exactly, I'm sure we and others at wikipedia can work it out. ShotokanTuning 09:34, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
When you want to know the source to something you ask it. Or in proper Wikipedia style add [citation needed] to the subject or if needed by adding: { { unreferenced } } (without the spaces). Not just remove everything you didn't know or can't find yourself. Also you delete without care, if there is indeed wrong information you have deleted much factual information with it. You actually removed sources with it. I'll be patient with you and actually rewrite some of it, but if I see this type of large text removal again, I might have to report it as vandalism. Keep in mind, the article isn't yours nor mine, it's a group effort. Thank you for your time.ShotokanTuning 16:07, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
It's done.ShotokanTuning 10:48, 13 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] This article or section may require cleanup, yes or no?

There might be a better picture of Spider Loc, for this page. See the picture topic. ShotokanTuning 11:10, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

This article is very poor as it contains much information which is irrelevant and also uncited. Spider Loc just has not does enough to even warrant an article, leaving it very thin.--Mastagags 05:55, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
It's not that he dosen't deserve an article, it's just that he hasn't done much in rap for such an expanded one, leaving it stretched. It dosen't help that all these G-Unit/Spider Loc groupies (and to a lesser extent, their haters) think this is a fan site/opinionated site (like LILVOKA addressed). Ted87 06:11, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
As you can see it isn't a stub any more, also there aren't many hip-hop music pages as well sourced as this one. ShotokanTuning 07:01, 19 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Game Beef

Since when did Spider Loc squash the beef with the Game? I havent heard anything about it and i think if he did wouldnt he be kicked outta G-unit just like game for not supporting 50's beef? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.79.147.26 (talkcontribs).

From what I have heard in a song off one of spider locs recent mixtapes called bangadoshish his mother lived in Tragnew park in Compton. So I do not think that the ECC gang he is affiliated with is in Watts. I have heard his father lived some where in south central L.A but I dont know where. So if any one can tell me where the ECC "turf" is than could you please post it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.79.147.26 (talkcontribs).

[edit] Dispute of deletion (Of Speedy Deletion of Spider Loc article)

User:MostWanted05 is causing vandalism (as a form of retaliation for the deletion of Young Life and Lil Dumu articles) and is disrupting articles to make a point at addressing his distaste for other users who dispute his uploads and articles writings. This user is on request for comment, see here. LILVOKA 8 June 2006 13:45 (UTC).

Why exactly is this being deleted? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 64.134.6.14 (talk • contribs).

  • This article was deleted as being "non-notable". Then, when it was recreated it was in violation of the rules to not recreate deleted articles. However, there has now been a proper vote and the concesus was to keep this page. Please feel free to edit the article to make it better. [edit] ' G-Unit Crip ' ?

Can someone find any kind of source that shows such an organization actually exists? I've looked on the net and can only find people deriding the use of the term on message boards, and a couple of websites trying to sell records using it. Has the rapper himself ever claimed to be a member of this 'group', if it even is one? There are a large number of claims being made in this article with no sources whatsoever; let's try to minimize that, hmm? --ThatBajoranGuy 06:24, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

He refers to being one in the song entitled Bitch Boy and the young buck track "where im from"( not game's version but the one dissing game)

[edit] West Kept Secret / Album section

This entire section is speculative and the author, currently suspended, has failed to offer even the slightest shred of support for this claim. Anyone have any thoughts on simply deleting the section under the policy of 'Wikipedia is not a crystal ball'?--ThatBajoranGuy 06:26, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] This hole article

I think that everything in this artickle should be deleted. Spider Loc is not going to release an album. He only releases mixtapes and those mixtapes don"t sell. So his nobody.

[edit] G-Unit fans

50 cent aint gona let this Spider Joke ever realese an album. So just delete the hole article!!!!!!! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 91.152.117.142 (talk) 17:23, 26 February 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Movie???????

When is Spider Loc going to be in a movie. Confirm that information or stop puting false information to the article. It is just stupid that people put false info to an article because they are fans of this artist. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 91.152.117.142 (talk) 11:45, 7 March 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Is Spider Loc GAY????????

Is Spider Loc gay??????????? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 91.152.117.49 (talk) 17:09, 9 March 2007 (UTC). That's really not an appropriate approach to this. Refer to the matter properly. Say it with me. Homosexual. SBKT 17:11, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
