Spirit of Prophecy (Adventist)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In the Seventh-day Adventist Church the term Spirit of Prophecy refers both to the Holy Spirit, and to the person and writings of Ellen G. White, cofounder of the church. Adventists believe the spiritual gift of prophecy was exhibited in her life and writings.
The term is applied to Ellen White because of her usage of the term, for example it appeared as the title of a series of her books; it is ultimately based on Revelation 19:10, "...for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."
