Paige Michalchuk notices that Spinner likes Terri, and due to her crush on Spinner, she ended up trying to sabatoge Terri's chances with Spinner by giving her some wine to "loosen up a bit." Terri later shows up at the dance drunk, and Spinner asks her to dance anyway. We later find out that Paige and Spinner ended up starting something because Spinner gives Terri her notes back while Paige tells her that Spinner will be using her notes from now on.

He instead took his frustration out by spiking the volleyball into Marco's stomach during gym class, and writing "Marco is a fag" on the bathroom wall. Jimmy saw this and defended Marco, calling Spinner an idiot. By the end of the season, Spinner changed his view on Marco and even helped him get together with Dylan.

Spinner became a born-again Christian and began dating Darcy, who knew about his involvement in Jimmy getting shot, but decided he was worthy of another chance. However, this meant that Spinner had to remain a virgin until marriage, so Spinner hid his past with Manny from Darcy. After Spinner finds out that Jay tricked Darcy into almost having sex with him, Spinner beats up Jay and tells him to stay out of his life.

When Spinner tells Paige that he has gotten back together with Darcy, Paige shows him an old year book. Paige then says that she never blamed him for Jimmy getting shot, giving him a little more relief. This leads to Spinner and Paige having sex. On graduation day, Darcy reads Spinner's text messages and finds out that Spinner had gone back on his promise to be a virgin and had sex with Paige. The two break up once again.

Then, Spinner and Jimmy have a conversation while watching their old friends leave them. Jimmy forgives Spinner, admitting that he was wrong to blame everyone else for his problems.
