Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal was a gimmick used in World Championship Wrestling.

[edit] The Wheel

The wheel contained various match types such as "No DQ", "Coal Miner's Glove", and "I Quit". A wrestler would spin the wheel to determine what stipulation their match would be.

[edit] History

In WCW, the 1992 edition of Halloween Havoc used the Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal wheel to determine the match stipulations. It determined that the match between Sting and Jake Roberts would be a Coal Miner's Glove Match; Sting won the match.

The final Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal match was held at the 1993 Halloween Havoc for the Vader vs. Cactus Jack match.

A decade later, the concept was brought back in WWE as Raw Roulette for episodes of WWE Raw originating from Las Vegas. The Raw Roulette was held on two episodes of WWE Raw, with the first time being in 2002, and the last time being in 2003.
