From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Spiller Field, also known as Ponce de Leon Park, was a stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. It was primarily used for baseball and was the home of Atlanta Crackers to see if Lafayette could support the club. The ballpark has a capacity of 20,000 people and opened in 1924. The field had a magnolia tree in centerfield. Babe Ruth and Eddie Mathews were the only two players to get a ball stuck in the tree.
