Spidermandy / Be A-Fred, Be Very A-Fred is the 71st episode of The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. It first aired on July 24, 2006, on Cartoon Network.

Jeff is sick with the Spiderpox and Billy tries to get rid of him without touching him. Billy thinks if he and Mandy get married, Mandy would get rid of Jeff for him, but Billy ends up infecting Mandy with the spider pox too. Grim came to the house and ate something. Then "Spidermandy" came and freaked out grim and captured him. Then Billy came and almost got captured. Grim (only head) told him to find Jeff and take the vemon from his teeth-like biters. When he was trying to, he saw the biters pointed up. He made a pun, "Oh man! It's pointed up! That doesn't work that way! I tried!" But Jeff turned his head and Billy took the venom into a cup. But Mandy came and Jeff said that Billy had a great wife. So Mandy HAD to eat Jeff's head like a spider should. But Billy reacted quickly and threw the venom at Mandy and she turned back to normal, still eating Jeff's head. After a long talk, Billy mistook the half cup of venom for lemonade and drank it. After a few minutes (in there time) Billy woke up. Grim was there and said that Billy could've died. They went outside, but because of Billy NOT washing his hands, and touching everyone in Endsville, everyone had Spiderpox and turned into spiders. But since Billy told Jeff to leave, Billy couldn't get anymore venom, so everyone tried to kill Billy.

The episode starts off with a commercial for a new product "Big Move Laxatives" where Grim is the spokesman. On the day of the commercial, "Under-corp" holds a contest. Contestants would write a letter that contains up to 500 words telling what they would do with Grim for a day and the winner would get to do those things. However, Grim becomes devastated when he learns that the winner is Fred Fredburger (he was the only contestant). Billy, Mandy and Grim take Fred Fredburger to the yogurt parlor (after the company threatens to beat Grim up if Fred Fredburger doesn't have a good time) to "eet sum frozun yogert", and while they were eating, Grim tries to take a picture of him and Fred Fredburger. Unfortunately, Fred doesn't listen which makes Grim very frustrated and angry, resulting in him knocking over Fred's yogurt and sending Fred crying into the deep freezer. Mandy suggests that they should go to Sassycat Land, and Fred ends up being hurdled to another place. The company beats Grim up and Fred meets a a colony of yeti who strangley sound like and act like Fred Fredburger.

Fred: What flavor is that brown and yellow one?
Clerk: Chocolate-banana.
Fred: I like both chocolate and banana, yes. What flavor is the pink one?
Clerk: Strawberry.
Fred: What flavor is the orange one?
Clerk: Orange.
Fred: mmmmm (licks) hey What flavor is that greyish-white one?
Clerk: [looks down]
Yeti: I taste like nachos yes.

Fred Fredburger was about to be captured by a yeti, Cartoon Network does not want him to be captured.

The title "Spidermandy" is a pun on the superhero, Spider-Man.

The title Be A-Fred, Be Very A-Fred is a pun on the phrase "be afraid, be very afraid", from the 1986 movie The Fly.

Running gag in "Be A-Fred, Be Very A-Fred": Fred and Billy eating a frozen yogurt, screaming from a brain freeze, and then continuing eating it. This scene is very similar to the scene from an episode of Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends, another Cartoon Network show when Bloo came over to Mac's apartment, and then Cheese came and wanted Choc. Milk, but took Coco's shake and drank it. This is when he screams everytime he sips. which aired in the same month as this episode.

Also, the way Fred shows his beady eyes and veins, resembles to the anime comedy shows.

Everybody Loves Rain-man is a spoof of Everybody Loves Raymond. This show also makes a reference to the film, Rain Man.

Having Grim being spokes-person for a laxative is a subtle reference to how people may void their bowels when they die.

One of the monsters in the UnderCorp building largely resembles a demonic form of Stitch, while another looks like Spongebob Squarepants. *The theme park "Sassy Cat Land" resembles to the cartoon show "Hello Kitty

Second appearance of Fred Fredburger. He's first appearance was in Keeper of the Reaper and he's third appearance is in Billy & Mandy's Big Boogey Adventure.
The first time Grim was called Death not counting Billy and Mandy Save Christmas.

At the first few airings of the episode 'Be A-Fred, Be Very A-Fred', when Fred Fredburger freaks out about his frozen yogurt, he makes a comment: "You killed my yogurt!" After a few of the more current runnings, the studio censors him using the word 'killed'. It should be noted however that when Billy calls Grim a 'Yogurt Killer', he is not censored. When on Closed Captioning, it also censors Fred in the same case. Other episodes use some variants of 'death' without them being blanked out.
