The soundtrack for the movie Sphere by Elliot Goldenthal is a very dramatic, dark and ethereal piece; it is one of his more straight forward soundtracks, although that doesn't mean that it is not original or inventive, attributes characteristic of Goldenthal's work; it was considered (like a few other films he has scored) to be in many ways better than the movie itself.
