Speeder is a fan film, directed by William Grammer, that made its debut on the internet on March 29, 2005, as a finalist in the 2005 Official Star Wars Fan Film Awards. The film takes a humorous look at someone who tries to use the Force from Star Wars in a real world situation.
The film was part of a group of ten short films from the Official Star Wars Fan Film awards that were selected to be shown at the 2005 Cannes Film Festival in conjunction with the premiere of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.
Speeder was cut from a larger film called Are You Ready? that featured three other similar situations where Star Wars fans blur the line between reality and fantasy. The other segments included "Remote", "Anniversary", and "Busted".
