Special Covert Action Team

The Special Covert Action Team is a fictional Special Forces and counter terrorism unit in the video game Winback.

Thr SCAT unit was formed on September 15th 1991. Its primary mission was to combat the threat of international terrorism and as a quick reaction unit free from political control and with the full support of the US military. The members are composed from various special forces units in the United States military such as the Green Berets, Delta Force, Rangers, SEALs, Marine Force Recon, the CIA National Clandestine Service and other groups. They undergo intensce screening and training processes before becoming an operative of the SCAT. To date, none of their operations are kept on record and their exsistence is denied by the government, similar to a black ops unit. However, their only recorded mission was Operation:Winback, in which they were sent in to neutralize The Crying Lions terrorist group and reclaim the top secret GULF system. The former leader of the SCAT, a former Green Beret and Delta Force soldier Daniel Stewart was the first and has been the only leader of the unit.
