The Commando Memorial, Spean Bridge. Near the village of Spean Bridge, at the junction of the main A82 and the B8004 leading towards Achnacarry. The 17 foot high memorial statue was designed by Scott Sutherland from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art Dundee in 1949 and dedicated to the Commandos by Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother on 12 September 1952 [1].
