My name is Daniel Walker and I am a second-year doctoral student studying mathematics at the University of North Texas. My field of study is set theory, but I also enjoy mathematical logic and topology. I finished my undergraduate studies cum laude at UCLA in June, 2005 with a bachelor's degree in mathematics.

I was born on August 9, 1983 in Walnut Creek, CA. I spent the first 22 years of my life living in the most beautiful city in the world, Dublin, CA, but I now live in Denton, TX.

My favorite movies are (in no particular order except that the first is my favorite): Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Back to the Future, Return of the Jedi, Almost Famous, and A Few Good Men. My favorite author is the great C.S. Lewis. My favorite novels are (in descending order), Till We Have Faces, The Great Divorce, Ender's Game, Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, and Neverwhere.

As one should be able to guess from my top two novels, I am a very devout Christian. May the name of the Lord be praised!
