In Gundam F-91, the Crossbone Vangard movement attacked and occupy the Frontier Side (formally Side 4). As the Vangard continued its takeover, the Federation vessel Space Ark became embroiled in the fight.

The Space Ark is an Ark class the overhauled Clop class ship that is used by the Federation to train Mobile Suit pilots and ship personnel. The vessel becomes the center piece of Federation and civilian resistance during F-91.
