Rectificaciones: Las Palmas de Gran Canaria es la capital de la provincia de Gran Canaria. Santa Cruz de Tenerife es la capital de la provincia de Tenerife.

Por tanto es incorrecto decir que las provincias canarias llevan el nombre de su capital.
