Sowerbyi (elm cultivar)

The Smooth-leaved Elm U. minor subsp. minor cultivar Sowerbyi was described (as U. nitens var. sowerbyi Moss) by Moss in Cambr. Brit. Fl. 2: 90. 1914, as a smaller tree than Hunnybunii, the branches shorter and the upper ones very tortuous; leaves smaller and acute; frequently planted.
