Sovereign Award for Horse of the Year

The Sovereign Award for Horse of the Year is a Canadian thoroughbred horse racing honor given annually since 1951 by the Jockey Club of Canada. It is the most prestigious honor in Canadian thoroughbred horse racing.
Part of the Sovereign Awards program, it is similar to the Eclipse Award Horse of the Year honors given in the United States.
