SNET was not purchased from Sprint.SNET was an independent company before the SBC merger.

Actually at one point Sprint did own SNET it may not have been at the time of purchase by SBC but they did own it. Also in the future please use a signature when posting a message in a talkgroup. Misterrick 03:28, 17 December 2004 (UTC).

When was it that Sprint owned SNET? I have not been able to find any information supporting that statement. And I've lived in the SNET phone area most of my life and can never personally remember that. SG118 03:45, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
