i am trying to find out information on a baseball i acquired from my great grandfather. a southern association ball, with the imprint "97" signed by a team, stan wentzel, bill mcdonald, dutch d**z, charlie glock, jim atkins and mny others. i thought it was a new orleans pelicans ball but so far cannot tie them together

[edit] There was no "D" level ball in 1965

Leagues below "A" level were abolished in the mid-1950s, except for the "Rookie Leagues", so since then there have been technically no B-, C-, or D-level leagues. So the article is incorrect but I don't know enough to fix it. Does anyone else? Rlquall 13:33, 24 Apr 2005 (UTC)
