[edit] An Image?

I feel that this article should have a image on its own. For example, a badge of the league would do just fine (The FA Premier League has one). But I am wondering whether the image would be a copyright infringement. Any ideas? --Siva1979Talk to me 02:04, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Changed title

I changed the name of this league by adding the word "Football". This is to follow similar standards with the other leagues which has this word. It is also to reflect more accurately on the nature and type of this league. --Siva1979Talk to me 05:36, 2 May 2006 (UTC)

I'm not convinced this one has the word "Football" in the title though. I think I've a South Western League tie(!) at home somewhere with the official league badge on it - I'll try and dig it out. fchd 06:57, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
Well, I have an idea. If the official league name does not have the word "football" in it, can we redirect that page to this article? This is to create a certain level of standardization for these types of articles in Wikipedia. --Siva1979Talk to me 17:03, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
I'm happy with doing that, but also see my note on the discussion page of the Devon County League article. - fchd 17:04, 3 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Added image

I have added the official logo of this league in the article. --Siva1979Talk to me 02:47, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Argyle

This page (or rather, the template on it) shows Plymouth Argyle's "A" team as competing in this league but Argyle's own page says their reserves compete at this level - which is correct.....? ChrisTheDude 09:10, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

Argyle's page is wrong. Their reserves playing in the Football Combination. --Balerion 16:47, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
Actually, it seems to be more complicated. The "reserves" section of Plymouth Argyle F.C.'s article links to a Plymouth reserves article which claims that Argyle's reserves were leaving the Football Combination to join the SWL starting this season. However, according to this Full Time table, they are still in the Football Combination and have their first game on August 30. While the SWL is an extremely strong league for Step 7, it's still a long way down from the Championship and I'd think that most FL clubs would want their reserve teams playing a higher standard of football. --Balerion 16:58, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
The PAFC article now states that the reserves play in both the Combination and the SWL due to the fact that most of their Combination games end up being cancelled as (reading between the lines) other clubs generally can't be bothered to send their reserves all the way down to the West Country. Hence I have amended the template on this page....... ChrisTheDude 21:38, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
