[edit] Geology Section

As of today, I started work on the Geology section. It's current form is incomplete as I don't really have the time or energy to finish the whole section. As for citations, there will be some, but I plan to complete them when I get all the content down that I hope to add. Jamincan 03:06, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Photos

I've been working on finding some public domain photos of the river; however, it seems almost impossible to find freely available photos from Nahanni. I did contact someone on a forum I'm a member of who responded positively to providing photos that could be licensed under the GPDL; however, I have yet to hear back from him. Anyway, I was thinking that a photo of Virginia Falls would be ideal for the main graphic in the infobox. A photo of the tufa mounds might be handy for the geology section. Lastly, I think a photo of one of the canyons, ideally First Canyon with Pulpit Rock, would be also be a suitable photo for the article. If we could get that photo with some people canoeing or rafting down the river in the photo, it would be a good addition to the Economy section when it is completed. The rafters/canoers would also provide a good sense of scale to the canyon.

For the course section, a map of the river and its watershed would be handy. I have seen maps that also show the boundaries of the Park overlayed on the watershed, which I found to be a useful illustration. I might be able to get my sister to produce some illustrations of some of the geological processes that went into forming some of the distinctive features of the river; although, I suspect they would be more useful in detailed articles on that particular topic.
