Southerner

The term southerner can mean a number of things:
A Southerner is a citizen of the American South who identifies him/her self as such. This is approximately 70% of the population of the eleven States of the former Confederate States of America and the “border” States of Kentucky, Missouri, Maryland and West Virginia.
- A Southerner is a person originating from or residing in the geographical south of a country.
- The Southerner was a New Zealand express passenger train
- The marine vessel, Southerner, used as an outside broadcast unit by Southern Television from the mid 1960s
