Southbound (band)

Southbound[1] is a Sydney, Australian based country rock band.

The band has released an album and two singles, one of which, "You didn't need the world", received a Golden Guitar nomination in 2004 shortly after guitarist and co-founder Michael Cowdroy was killed in an automobile accident.

The band continues to tour with Mick's long time friend and band co-founder Todd Atkinson now the only original member after several line-up changes.

The current line-up includes:

Damien Odel - Pedal Steel Guitar, Guitars, Vocals

Mick Parkes - Bass, Vocals

Dave Roberts - Drums

Glen Skarratt - Lead Guitar
