South View LRT station (BP2) is one of Singapore's light-rail stations on the Bukit Panjang Light Rapid Transit. Operated by SMRT Light Rail, the station was completed on June 11, 1999 and was opened to the public in November 1999.

Just like the other three LRT stations (namely Choa Chu Kang, Keat Hong, Teck Whye), South View station serves the residents of Choa Chu Kang.

South View Light Rail station supports light-railed trains going in either directions. Passengers travelling on one direction will head towards and terminate at Choa Chu Kang MRT/ LRT.

[edit] Etymology

South View was picked as the name of the station as it is located near South View Primary School, an elementary-level school serving the residents of Teck Whye estate.
